The watch is quite similar to its 2013 counterpart with the same Luminor 1950 titanium case that’s resistant to corrosion and shocks while being extremely lightweight. I think the 1389 looks the best and in the Panerai world if you buy a 42mm watch get ready at resale or trade time. A Paneresti would tell you the 42mm lacks the DNA of the brand but I don't agree as the brand does exactly what it wants, when it wants. As many people before me in this group I am hesitating between two models for my first PAM. I am looking for a model that I can wear every day. After a visit to the shop, my choice is between the Luminor 1033 (44') and the Submersible 1389 (47').
